Colour Contrasts - Itten

Colour Theory - Johanns Itten.


Contrast of tone due to the yellows brightness and the greens darkness.
Contrast of hue and a slight contrast of tone and temperature.
Contrast of tone due to the colours being almost the same.
I think this is a contrast of tone due to the lightness of the blue and darkness of the green, whilst also being a slight contrast in hue.
Big contrasts here in hue and temperature.
I think here is a contast of tone due to the darkness of the candle, but also of extension.

Here i see contrasts of tone (the red is a lot darker), hue and temperature given that the green is a cool pastel colour.
The most difficult to categorize so far, due to there being almost no significant contrasts. It does have very slight contrast in hue, and also in tone.
Here there is a huge contrast of tune and hue here, as well as a contrast in extension.
Here is a strong contrast in hue and a mild contrast in tone and temperature. 
Here i believe this to be a contrast in tone, as the hue's are relatively similar.
Contrasts in tone and hue, the purple being much darker.
a contrast in hue as they are complimentary colours. this is the strongest a hue contrast can be. There is also a tonal contrast.
 Here there is a contrast in tone, and very slightly in hue.
